Meet Phoenix: The Dog Behind BoneZone

The Dog That Started It All

Phoenix is a Belgian Malinois - a breed known for intelligence, energy, and relentless drive. Like many dogs, Phoenix loves bones. But giving him bones quickly revealed a familiar problem.
Meaty bones would end up dragged through the yard, buried in the garden, dropped on the patio, and occasionally brought into the house. Despite being a wonderful, natural enrichment activities for dogs, the way bones were given simply didn't work very well.
That simple frustration sparked an idea.

What if there was a proper place for a dog's bone?

The Birth of BoneZone

BoneZone was designed to give Phoenix something that never really existed before: a dedicated chewing station where bones and large format foods, could stay secure while he enjoyed them.
Instead of chasing bones and carcasses across the yard, Phoenix could chew comfortably while the meal or chew stayed exactly where it belonged.
It worked immediately and soon it became obvious that many dog owners faced the exact same problem.

The Official Petelli Test Engineer

Phoenix continues to play a role in testing new ideas.
As a high-energy working breed with serious chewing power, he quickly reveals whether a product truly works.
If something survives Phoenix, it is probably built properly.

A Dog's Perspective

Dogs don't care about product marketing. They care about simple things: chewing, playing, exploring, and relaxing.
Petelli products are designed with that mindset. Simple ideas that make life better for dogs and the people who care for them.
