3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Processing and fulfilling your orders
  • Communicating with you about your orders, enquiries and customer support
  • Sending marketing communications where you have opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time)
  • Publishing, scheduling and measuring the performance of content on our own social media accounts

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect or process your personal information:

Shopify

Our online store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify processes your order and payment information on our behalf. For more information, see Shopify's Privacy Policy.

Omnisend

We use Omnisend for email marketing. If you subscribe to our newsletter or marketing emails, your email address and related data are shared with Omnisend. For more information, see Omnisend's Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics collects information such as how often you visit, what pages you view, and what other sites you visited before coming to ours. We use this information to improve our website. Google Analytics collects your IP address but we do not link it to your personal identity. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) on our website. It collects information about your interactions with our site — such as pages viewed, products viewed and purchases completed — and shares it with Meta Platforms, Inc. We use this to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to show relevant ads to you and to audiences similar to you on Facebook and Instagram. You can manage how Meta uses your data for advertising through your Facebook Ad Preferences and Instagram Ad Settings.

TikTok Pixel

We use the TikTok Pixel on our website. It collects information about your interactions with our site and shares it with TikTok Pte. Ltd. We use this to measure advertising performance and to show relevant ads on TikTok. You can manage your TikTok advertising preferences in the TikTok app under Settings and Privacy → Ads.

Postiz

We use Postiz, a social media scheduling tool, to plan and publish content to our own social media accounts. Postiz stores the access credentials for the social accounts we own and any content we schedule. See Section 5 below.

Payment processors

Payment transactions are processed through Shopify Payments and/or third-party payment gateways. We do not store your full credit card details. Payment processing is handled in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

5. Social Media and Connected Platform Integrations

We operate our own accounts and pages on third-party social media platforms, including Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. To manage those accounts, we connect them to Postiz through developer applications that we have registered with each platform, using each platform's official API.

What we access

Through these integrations we access only data relating to the accounts we own and control, namely:

  • Basic account and page profile information (account name, handle, account or page ID, profile image)
  • OAuth access tokens and the publishing permissions granted to our application
  • Content we schedule or publish, including captions, images and video
  • Aggregate performance and engagement metrics for our own posts and accounts (such as impressions, views, likes, comments and follower counts)
  • Comments and messages sent to our accounts, where we access these to respond to you

What we do not do

  • We do not collect personal information about platform users beyond what those platforms make available to us as the account owner, or what you make publicly visible
  • We do not sell, rent, licence or otherwise transfer platform data to any third party
  • We do not use platform data for any purpose other than operating our own accounts and communicating with our audience
  • We do not use these integrations to provide any service to third parties — they connect only accounts that Petelli owns and controls

Storage, security and retention

Access tokens and connected account data are stored on infrastructure we control, with access restricted to authorised personnel. When we disconnect an account, or when you or the platform revokes our application's access, the associated tokens and platform data are deleted from our systems.

Platform compliance

Our use of information received from Meta platforms complies with the Meta Platform Terms and the Meta Developer Policies. Our use of information received from TikTok complies with the TikTok Developer Terms of Service and TikTok's developer policies. Where a platform's terms impose stricter obligations than this Policy, those terms apply.

Interacting with us on social media

If you comment on, message, tag or otherwise interact with our accounts, that interaction is also governed by the privacy policy of the platform you are using. We may see, store and respond to your comments and messages, and we may moderate or remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading or spam. Please do not send us sensitive personal information, payment details or health information through social media.

6. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • Service providers who assist us in operating our business (shipping carriers, payment processors, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, analytics and advertising providers)
  • Professional advisers (accountants, lawyers) where necessary
  • Government authorities or law enforcement where required by law

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

7. Overseas Disclosure

Some of our third-party service providers (including Shopify, Omnisend, Google, Meta and TikTok) may store or process your data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada, Singapore and the European Union. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is treated in accordance with Australian privacy standards.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Remember your shopping cart contents
  • Understand how you use our website (analytics)
  • Measure the performance of our advertising and show you relevant ads (the Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel described in Section 4)
  • Provide a personalised experience

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can limit advertising personalisation through the Meta and TikTok preference controls linked in Section 4. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our website, including the ability to add items to your cart or complete checkout.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmission. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Order records are retained in accordance with Australian tax and business record-keeping obligations.

11. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information
  • Opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations to retain certain records
  • Make a complaint if you believe we have breached the APPs

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].

12. Data Deletion Requests

You can ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you at any time.

How to make a request. Email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", and tell us:

  • Your name and the email address you used with us
  • Where the data was provided (for example our website, our newsletter, our online store, or one of our social media accounts)
  • If the request relates to a social media platform, the platform and the account handle you used

What we do. We will acknowledge your request and confirm your identity, then delete the personal information we hold about you within 30 days. This includes:

  • Contact and account details held by us
  • Newsletter and marketing subscriber records held in Omnisend
  • Comment, message and interaction data we have retained from Facebook, Instagram or TikTok
  • Any data we hold through our connected social media applications relating to you

What we may need to keep. We may retain certain information where we are legally required to, such as order and transaction records kept under Australian tax and business record-keeping obligations, or where retention is necessary to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements. We will tell you if this applies and delete the remainder.

Revoking a social media connection. If you have connected to us through a platform, you can also remove our application's access to your data directly from that platform — through Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites, or TikTok Settings and Privacy → Security and Permissions → Manage App Permissions. Doing so causes the associated access tokens and platform data to be deleted from our systems.

13. Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at [email protected]. We will investigate your complaint and respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

14. Children's Privacy

Our website, products and social media accounts are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with the revised date shown at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
